Time Travel by Anna

Kay and I have not been in collusion either!! My Tardis is slightly different in shape and colour but we are all of the age where we get the connection with Doctor Who and "time travel".
My tardis has its lovely red colour thanks to Judy and her colouring pencils. It was very pink!!! Also she (the gadget Queen), has lent me her bejeweller tool so my space background has got twinkling stars!!
Happy travelling Kerry from Anna

Lorraine - Planes, Trains and Automobiles for Kerry

Thanks Kerry for this challenge, enjoyed researching the old images for this quilt, haven't we all moved on in comfort when we travel, although sometimes we still complain!!
I make this challenge No 22 is that right? I have found every challenge interesting and love seeing them posted on the blog. Enjoy your little quilts, will post mine off after the 16th as you requested.
cheers Lorraine

T.A.R.D.I.S by Kay

The TARDIS has to be the ultimate way to travel.  Anywhere, in any time and in complete comfort as it is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.  Of course she is not entirely reliable as to her destinations but there is always adventure afoot.  I have always thought it would be amazing if such a machine really existed - the endless possibilities of travelling back or forward in time to see where we have come from and where we are going to.

For the uninitiated TARDIS stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.

My picture was taken from the a Colouring Page - Doctor Who by VioletSuccubus on deviantART.  She says the picture is free to download and use with no need to send a note or ask for permission, just give her the credit.

Up and Away - Helen

First comment - Ngaire and I haven't discussed our ideas!!
I decided that my quilt would be about a mode of travel and I remembered the song Up, Up and Away that was originally recorded in the 1960's. A few singers recorded versions of this very popular song, about travel in hot air balloons, in the 1960's and 70's. Hope you are enjoying your quilts Kerry.

Around the World in 80 Days by Ngaire

I always remembered the story 'Around the World in 80 Days' and as a young child thought how cool it would be to travel around the world. Of course now days it is so easy to do and although I haven't visited all the cities listed I have enjoyed the chance to visit some of them.
Here is my version of traveling around the world.
